Frigoboat Keel Cooled Condensers deliver maximum efficiency for boat refrigeration. Keel cooled condensers work with K35F & K50F compressors or with Capri condensing units for dual keel/air cooling options if you need to use the system when not in the water.
- Pre-charged component equipped with Frigoboat self-sealing couplings
- Uses non-ozone depleting refrigerant R134a
- Eliminates the need for condenser sea water pump
- Efficient & silent: no fan/pump noise or current drain
- Keel cooled condensers are over 20% more efficient than air cooled condensers
- Available with or without Anodes
- All models require a 1-9/16" diameter installation hole below waterline - requires haulout for installation
- Compressor must be mounted within 5 feet of the keel cooler location
- Requires Evaporator, Thermostat, and Frigoboat Compressor K35F or K50F, Capri 35F or Capri 50F for complete system
Frigoboat, Keel Cooled Condensers for K35F and K50F Compressors
Frigoboat Keel Cooler Fitting, Thread Mount.
Similar to a regular thru-hull fitting, where the throat passes through the hull, and a nut is threaded onto the shaft and tightened. The keel-cooler must be mounted within 5 feet of the compressor.
A Frigoboat keel-cooler acts as the condenser for the system. The R134a refrigerant is circulated by the compressor, down through tubing imbedded in the sintered bronze fitting mounted in your hull. This is where the heat exchange takes place, removing the heat completely from the refrigerant and not into vessel. No pump! No fan! No noise!
Choose either the model with zincs (E50361Z) or, if you can connect the keel cooler into your bonding system, choose the model without zincs (E50361).
